Our food was good but just want to let everyone know that if you buy and order of salsa, you will NOT get any chips with it. Those are extra. I was honestly pretty shocked at that. Most Mexican restaurants I have been to have complimentary chips and salsa but not even providing chips with a paid order of salsa will keep me from going back again. Our bill for a lunch for 2 was $50 and the food was good. However, the add-ons they charge for basic things is just too much.
For the two of us, the bill came to $44. We ordered the chicken enchilada casserole, a garbage burrito, guacamole fries, chips and salsa, and 2 canned sodas. There is easily enough left over for another full meal. I'm so full as I type this, but I can't wait to get into my leftovers!
We came just after "lunch hour" at around 1:30, and had absolutely no wait. Armando was attentive and friendly, the kind of jovial owner/operator I appreciate. The place is brightly colored and cozy, and I was surprised how comfortable the benches at the booths were. Our only complaint about the atmosphere is that it was a bit chilly at our seat next to the window, but it's wintertime in the North Country.

The staff are extremely kind, the food is great and is as close to authentic Mexican as you can get with as far north as we live! The prices are very reasonable, but the portions are HUGE! Glad we picked it for dinner tonight
A hidden gem in Plattsburgh, Lomeli's is our new favorite spot.
The food came quickly, and was incredible. I can't say enough good things about the food here. Nothing we ordered was subpar. It's obvious that this family takes pride in their food, and so good at what they do.
It's off the beaten path a bit, but most good local spots are. Lomeli's is currently located in the Big Lots plaza all the way in the back. But Armando says they're moving soon to a better location on Oak St.
Listen, If you know what and like authentic Mexican food then this is the spot. This place is delicious. Food takes a little longer because everything is made fresh to order. Great service, great staff and outstanding fresh food. It is what it is....lots of food for little bit of money. Fantastic! Great find.
Always friendly staff bringing good Mexicali food to the north country. Big fan of the home made tortilla chips which make thier nachos amazing. Best choice for protien is the Carne Asada.
